I trained for my first 1/2 last year...before I started training I ran like 2miles max...but the training schedule really does work and as long as you stick to it you will be able to run it no problem! I just started this program called Couch to 5K. I'm just finished my 2nd week today. There are some continuing programs for a 10K too! There are some free podcasts with music to tell you when to walk/run which I use and are really helpful! There's also a great fan site on Facebook with a lot of great support!
