Registry Addiction

I have an addiction.

I am a registry addict.

My fiance and I went together to put things on the registry. Since that time? I have changed about 50% of what is on the registry.

But see, this is how I shop. I buy something, then really think about it, decide I don't want that, return that item and pick out a new one. And as in wedding planning, I am notorious for changing my mind.

My fiance jokes that he doesn't even know what is on the registry anymore. But the truth is? He doesn't care. Why? He wants one thing for our wedding - cash to buy his TV.

He is soliciting cash gifts from his family, while I hope for the "pretty" things from mine. And it is a "pretty" thing I have been contemplating adding to the registry lately.

Right now, we have the Lenox Tuscany stemware on our registry. Love it. It is staying on the registry. (Although, it originally was the very similar Waterford Marquis.)

Very simple, clean, classic. Great for "everyday" use.

But then I was at my friends' house last night and they gave me a glass of wine in their crystal, Vera Wang Duchess.
It wasn't until I took a sip that I finally realized what the big deal is about cut glass. It looked beautiful at the bottom of the glass under the wine!!!

So now I'm debating adding this "fancier" crystal to my registry. Maybe just a few sets?
Is anyone else out there a registry addict?

My Domestic Fiance :)

As promised, I have some pictures from our registering at Bed, Bath & Beyond yesterday. This first one cracks me up. In case you can't read it, his apron says "Domestic Diva". :)

He is such a good sport. :) But this brings me to an opportunity to brag about my fiance. He is wonderfully domestic. He has no problem vaccuuming, doing dishes, making dinner, cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry, mopping floors, etc etc! Aren't I a lucky girl?? Especially if you know me. I am definately lacking in the "domestic" area. I like to cook...every so often. And cleaning? Eh. When I get around to it. So I am very thankful for my domestic fiance!

Here is he is picking out some new things to be domestic with - note the "manly" colors. :)

Who is the domestic one in your relationship? Are there any other domestic fiances (or husbands) out there?

How Many Registries Is Too Many?

My fiance and I just got back from registering at Bed, Bath & Beyond. (Pictures to come from that shortly!) We had already registered at Macy's and Target. We registered at Macy's for some of the finer items, and at Target for some everyday items that would fit more people's budgets. However, I was unable to find any flatware I liked (that I thought people could afford) so we decided to register at BB&B since their flatware was a bit more affordable. We were able to find several items we liked, but I still wanted to find some serving dishes. I've been eyeing some at Pottery Barn for a while, so I added those by creating a Pottery Barn registry online when we get home.

My question is...are four registries too many?

China v. TV - Registry Wars

I love china. Love it. My mom always used her china for any family dinners or any other special dinner occasion. I absolutely cannot wait to have my own china!

(Our beautiful Lenox Federal Platinum China)

My fiance? He loves sports. And loves watching sports on TV. And so, he loves big screen TVs.

Ask him what he wants for a wedding gift? A tv. That's it. Or at least money toward a tv. And he tells every wedding guest that's what we want.

But guess what? I'm winning. Six place settings of china have already been purchased! (Thanks to Macy's having some great sales I'm sure!) But I keep trying to reassure him that one way or another, he will get his tv.

Have you and your fiance had any registry wars?
