Sometimes Being a Grown Up is Hard

Like when it comes to money. And the lack of it.

It's been one of those days.

My fiance felt it yesterday. Today is my turn.

Could someone please just wave a magic wand and make my student loans go away?

That would be great. Thanks.

  1. Oh girl!
    You and me both!!!! :-)
There never seems to be enough to go around. There wasn't enough BEFORE...yet somehow we are supposed to be saving for and paying for our own wedding. Yikes!
Money is my number one stress right now....I am sure I think about it every day...many times a day.
No of this makes it better for you...but just know that you are not alone
I think most of us do not have enough money to go around....yet somehow we all make it...you will too!

  3. I hear ya on this one. I am always worried about money. We weren't great savers prior to the engagement and once it happened we magically have been able to save quite a bit but unfortunately life has gotten in the way, mainly our cars. Ah, if only life stopped while we planned our magical weddings =). One could dream.

Hang in there, girl! You two will make it through!

  4. I know what you mean!! Why do we end up being punished for continuing our education? It makes no sense to me. Hang in there, I'm sure your wedding is going to be beautiful. :-)

  5. I have a piece of paper posted right next to my computer monitor with my student loan payment amounts and due dates so they're never late. Above the numbers, in bold, I have this quote "Empty pockets never held anyone back. Only empty heads and empty hearts can do that." - Norman Vincent Peale.

I know it sucks, we just went through the mortgage process and had multiple people comment on how high our loans are compared to our incomes. Uh, gee thanks. Then we had to scale back wedding plans because we were actually able to buy a house. But we love our jobs and love each other and it will all be OK.

  6. Yeah, if I didn't have student loans, I would have an extra $4,000 each year to do whatever I please!

But just remember all the great things in your life! You'll make it through! :)

  7. UGH, Student Loans are the worst. Even more horrible when you take out a Private student loan with variable interest which you are afraid to consolidate with the others in case the interest sky rockets.... I keep thinking how horrible it is to give students all this money without sharing with them what the payback plan will be after graduating. I know I had no idea how much I'd be paying a month. I definitely think of all the things I could do with that much extra a month.
