Thanksgiving!

Okay, I have made progress. Pictures of the new house have been taken...but not yet uploaded. Sorry! The place is looking really great. I promise those will be up before...Christmas. :)

In the meantime, the wonderful holiday of Thanksgiving is quickly approaching. This year, my husband and I will be traveling to Tallhassee to spend Thanksgiving with his family. ALL his family. Well, on his mom's side. Remember them from the wedding?

Except this isn't even close to all of them. There will be at least twice this many at Thanksgiving. No, I'm not joking. They are expecting almost 60 people. (WOW!)

Oh and five of those people will be my immediate family. With one beautiful face obviously missing.

We have been trying to get in touch with my little sister to invite her and her husband to any and all of our holiday festivities - but he says they don't have time to celebrate with us. Sigh. Still praying...

But I digress. This Thanksgiving should be a fun one with lots of family and great food. And probably some nametags. :)

What are your Thanksgiving plans?

  1. That's a HUGE family!

We are going to my MIL's in Long Island. We've been for several years and it's always fun to see everyone!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. It's so great that your immediate family will be spending this holiday with your husband's! That's really how it should be. I'm sorry to hear about your sister. Keep praying, and she will come around . . . Have a Happy Thanksgiving surrounded by the people you love!

  3. What a fun Thanksgiving :-) We always have a ton of family at our celebrations, too, but not that many!

  4. So you are able to actually get in touch with your sister?? Grrrrr.....it makes me so mad for you. But you are right....just know that someday she will come around...and you will be there waiting for her. I know it's not easy and I know it's not fair....but just hang on to that wonderful hubby of your and know that someday everything will fall into place again.

  5. Laura: We haven't been able to talk to her - just him. It is frustrating beyond words. But we are trying to stay strong and keep trusting that God will carry us through.
