Hold the Presses!

I came across a photo of these today on Project Wedding and FELL IN LOVE. Aren't these amazing???

The details are on www.invitedink.com under "Vintage" and "Scrapbook". But when I looked them up on their Etsy site, they were WAY over my budget. Sigh.

But what do you think? Could we do these ourselves? I think I would be willing to forego the raised print if they came out looking like this!

  1. You can TOTALLY do that youself!
I mean.I may not be the most crafty...but I can TOTALLY see how to do that yourself. You can print your own pics on photo paper and buy those little photo corners. You can make your own invite and with a little double sided tape...yes yes....I can see this as a DIY project

  7. I love them...looks like we need to go to the craft store this weekend and remember to take our adding machine....then we need to remember to weigh them to see how much it would cost to mail one to everyone you have ever met.

  8. FYI - Be careful with bows in your invites. When I had my weighed, the postmaster saw my ribbon and asked if I was going to tie a bow. My reply was, "I was thinking about it, why?" And he told me that tying a bow creates a bump. The bump doesn't allow the invite to go through some processing machine. It costs an extra 20 cents per invite if the bump is too big. You could chance it (like I said to the Postmaster) and his reply was, "You could. Embarrassing mistake if it doesn't go through." The man had a damn good point.
Also, ask to HAND CANCEL your invites. This will keep them pretty versus going through the canceling machine that might crumple them up. I learned a lot from that Postmaster.
