And soon to be delivered!
Yes, our invitations are finally in the mail! They have been a labor of love, but if I could do it again, I wouldn't do it any differently. (Well, other than fixing the few mistakes that made them take longer than expected!)
My mom's best friend's husband (follow me there?) is a postman, and agreed to take them to the post office yesterday (while he is on vacation!) to hand cancel them for me. How sweet is that??
Now for the bottom line...did we save money? Not really. We could have had a less wonderful, less extravagant invite for the same amount of money. But there is no way we could have bought something like what we made for what we spent on them!
And the best part? The time spent putting them together with my family. Hands down. Loved every minute of it.
I can't wait to show you the finished product, but I want to make sure I don't ruin the suprise for our guests. Pictures will be coming soon!
For those of you who made your own invitations: In retrospect, would you do it all over again? Or would you choose a different option?
I agree, it was fun. Since we gave Shannon all the hard jobs she might not agree and since dad is a bottom line guy he might not agree. But I loved making them.

Looking forward to the photos.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on crossing the finish line! Isn't it the best feeling to have them done?
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Mine should be arriving soon, I can't wait to be done with them!
ReplyDeleteI didn't make all of mine, but I would have done it over again however I probably would have started earlier so it wasn't so stressful at the end.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you got them all finished!!
