The ceremony music has been stressing me out. I want live music (I hate how it sounds when CDs are cut off when the bride reaches the front of the church), but our church doesn't have good acoustics for a string quartet - plus they are expensive! My fiance doesn't want "traditional" music - he is very picky about music and wants music that describes "us". Now exactly what that is remains to be seen.
I have a friend named Erica who I have known since preschool. She is an amazing pianist and has been playing since at least the time we were in kindergarten. We haven't talked in quite some time - the last time I talked to her, she was heading off to the Peace Corps with her husband. Well, I tracked her down, and she is still playing the piano and is back in Florida!
She agreed to be our pianist - as her gift to us!! Yippee! I'm so excited. This is perfect. It has a personal touch - someone who has known me forever. Plus we can combine what I want (traditional live music) with what my fiance wants (she can play pieces that are more unique to us).
Don't you love when things just work out perfectly?
